After fears of new Hemet fire dangers, Tropical Storm Kay aids huge increase in containment efforts

October 8th is a day that will go down in the history of the City of Hemet and the City of Lake Valley as a day that was made all the sweeter.

The community lost a great neighbor, husband, father and friend that passed away on Tuesday, October 6th at 7:12 p.m. He was a friend and neighbor, and he always did his best to light up and brighten your day. He was my favorite person that I will never forget. He was my hero and hero of the year.

Sitting in my office watching news coverage of the historic fire in Hemet, I was left in disbelief, in shock, in tears, in anger and in horror.
