Cooler temperatures — and maybe some showers — headed to SoCal this weekend, bringing relief from those scorching heat waves this summer. But for the rest of us, that relief will come later this week as temperatures hover around 90 from Friday into next week.
Friday through Sept. 4 are expected to be the warmest on record at these inland cities:
Los Angeles: 92
San Francisco: 92
San Diego: 92
San Jose: 93

Austin: 92
New Orleans: 92
In the meantime, the heat is expected to cool things down in the inland cities over the last week of September and the first days of October.
